The forecasting community is incredible — professional superforecasters, quant traders, professors, programmers, biologists, political theorists, academics, students, and everyone else who might be interested in building detailed models about the future.

• You should strongly consider joining the OPTIC Slack — this is where everything that students are involved in with regards to the forecasting community will happen.
• If you can, attending a local OPTIC tournament or Manifest conference can be invaluable opportunities to connect with the broader forecasting community.
• If you don’t already know any students at your school who’re interested in forecasting, Reach out to us — it’s pretty likely that we know someone else at your school, and we can try to connect you.

  Slack works well as a way of communicating with your members. The OPTIC Slack is the primary way that students interested in forecasting get in touch (especially for intercollegiate tournaments). Finding locals who’re interested in forecasting

• Attend the next Manifest (professional conference for the forecasting community)
