Most university groups are named "University of [X] Forecasting Group," "[X] University Forecasting Group,” or “Forecasting at [X] University.” For instance, there’s “Forecasting at UW-Seattle,” and the “MIT Forecasting Group” — consider a few different options and pick what you think is best. If you’re able, it might be valuable sampling some friends by giving them a number of different name options, asking them what they think of each one, what each one seems like to them, etc.

Don’t include the name of any particular organization — e.g. OPTIC Club, Metaculus Club, Manifold Club, etc — without that organization’s explicit permission. (We’d suggest not doing so regardless, though.) Also, some universities have specific rules around naming, so be sure to check the rules that your school has around naming your club.
