Outreach is an important skill to build when you’re creating a club. Fundamentally, your goals in doing outreach are to:
Doing highly effective outreach can be hard, but it often has a power-law distribution: you might try ten things that don’t work very well, and the eleventh one might work far better than the previous ten combined. Don’t get discouraged, learn from feedback, and continue iterating!
(Note: “pubbing,” short for “publicizing,” is another word for “doing outreach” — we’ll be using them interchangeably here.)

You can ask professors if you can give a short pitch at the beginning of class for an event, or for your club overall.
